$14 million funding signals a new era for sustainable materials

Singapore-based plastics recycling fund closes $14M Series A to connect plastic credit projects with institutional buyers in APAC.

By PlasticUnits Editorial15 September 2025

GreenLoop Capital, a Singapore-based investment vehicle focused on circular economy infrastructure in Southeast Asia, has closed a $14 million Series A funding round led by Temasek sustainability arm and European family office investors.

What the fund does

GreenLoop provides working capital financing to plastic collection and recycling projects in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India, where upfront infrastructure costs prevent small operators from achieving Verra PWRS certification.

Industry context

The raise follows similar moves by South Pole ($10M plastic credit fund, 2024) and Climate Asset Management (£200M nature capital fund including plastic credits, 2024). Institutional capital entering the market is seen as a quality signal.
